mother's day, just like every other day

Once you have children, isn't everyday Mother's day? Maybe not the same receive cards, flowers and gifts type of day but still a day of Mother. Or Mom or Mama or Mommy or lately, for me, Kat. Which I really don't like! Someone wise once said, (I think it was Melissa?) "once you are a mother, you're a mother for eternity." So simple yet so eye opening. The point is, amidst all the wonderfulness of motherhood there is also smotherhood. That second one is the poop covered, sleep deprived, I'm hungry, NO!, teething, potty training, nap refusal, blowout diaper, when will Michael be home, don't hit your sister etc. etc. etc. part. Isn't it true what it says in the BOM about good and bad balancing one another. We've had some sweet moments around here. Check out just a couple.

These sweeties were after the gym last night. I am always amazed at the moments my boy decides to snuggle up to me. Good thing Daddy thought to grab the camera.

This was the morning of Mother's day before church. The Bean had a fever and a boo boo. She wasn't so happy about it all and so she stayed home with Daddy who was also "sick".

Here is Jack in his "Joseph" shirt. He makes me tell him that story every night before bed.

And here is the little princess. She does this herself. The necklaces, the crown, it's all self induced. Nature verses nurture? Psh!

I'm so glad I'm a mom. Above everything else, it's the best. I know that all of you agree. That's why we're friends!! ;)

Umm...totally unrelated to the subject of this post, but I must say you're arms are twigs in that first photo. (Healthy, lean twigs I should say.) You're hot.

That's all.

JUST so ya know, most people.....I mean NORMAL people look crappy, sweaty, red and the works after the gym. No more posting hot pictures "after" the gym. Sheesh! :)
ME wise? ha ha ha.

Thats where I am in my daily reading right now (the joseph story) so I told the story to Kyler 3 nights ago and hes asked for me to tell it every night since. Crazy how similar two random lives can be! I wish I lived by you so i could take your classes!
