domesticity

Here are a few pictures of what I have been up to lately. Highly domestic wouldn't you say?

Look at those lips! Don't you just want to give him a "tiss"? I do, even with the chocolate smeared on his face.

Hose+sprayer=endless fun.

He said he wanted to fly up in the sky. This was the best we could do.

Thanks to my beautiful friend Lili, I have the easiest recipe for the yummiest bread.

Here is the apple pie I made after giving in to a week long craving. It was terrible. I didn't even finish my piece.

This is the oak table I bought for 40 dollars and painted white. I really like it and I can't wait to sew some cute cushions for the benches and get two armed chairs for each end.

They love each other. Too bad Violet isn't in focus. I just can't get enough light and so I have to open the shutter all the way and screw the depth of field. Any secrets I should know as to how to get better depth of field indoors?

Here is Michael helping me strip one of the tub chairs we found at an estate sale. I really can't wait to get them re-upholstered and inside!

Thanks to Lindy for the fluffiest, frilliest tutu ever! Love!

My pears in all their glory.

I love how they are all squished in this Daddy dogpile. Look at Jack's nose! So funny!

This was a last minute idea. Wrap her head in a receiving blanket like I wrap mine in a towel after a shower. I think she liked it.

I think the reason Michael doesn't like to pay alot on furniture is because he knows what an awesome job you can do at refinishing it. I wouldn't pay money on a new couch, chairs, etc. either if I could refinish them. Most likely yours will turn out lookin better than the furniture we paid good money for.

Just when I think Violet can't get any cuter...SHE DOES! She's changed a lot recently. Do you think her eyes will be blue? You need to get her into baby modeling. Wait. I've already left that in a comment before haven't I? I told you, I think it every time I see her. I just love her. Please find a reason to come up here! I've never been to Ikea, so come show me the ropes. :) The pears look so delish. And that table...awesome!

First of all, love the pictures. Too cute.

Yesterday my dad came over for a haircut (I cut hair...a small secret talent I have) and he confessed to me that he watches our THRILLER dance co movie two or three times a week. Uh, weird. But he said that he loves to pick out everyone and remember them...and he said, "I still remember that cute girl that you pulled across the floor at the very beginning. Do you know what ever happened to her?" I was so glad that I had a fairly accurate and recent update for him.

Dance co was fun, wasn't it? So glad to have made so many great friends from it. Love your blog and glad to be a part of your world still! Big hugs!

I can't believe you baked something and it didn't turn out good. That is like unheard of! Sweet table. I am curious to see what you are going to do with those chairs! My idea of re-upholstering is stapling some new fabric over the old. Hey it worked on kitchen chairs!

Oh my domestic diva! I'm totally impressed by that apple pie! It makes me want some! And that table looks so good! It will super cute with cushions on it too. I've re-upholstered a chair and the worst part was taking it apart! It was actually kind of fun after that!

I love the picture of Violet with the tutu. She has become such a little girl. Yeah, I think you might need to give the rest of us some lessons on how to do all these domestic things:)
