Feeling Crafty

Hi friends. Just wanted to post since it's been a while. I had a busy and good weekend and here is what I was up to. Disclaimer: If any of these ideas/designs are yours then sorry I ripped you off. Take it as a compliment that I like your stuff enough to copy it! :)

These are cloth diapers all snazzed up. They make the best most absorbent burp cloths.

These two are nursing covers. If you have ever heard of Hooter Hiders or Bebe Au Lait then you know what I'm talking about. Basically the most convenient and genius nursing cover up in the world. My mom bought me one before Jack and it was like 35 dollars. Although it was probably the best 35 dollars she ever spent I whipped up these little numbers for less than 8 bucks.

These are tutus for the daughters of a good friend. I know they are cheesy but a healthy dose of cheese is just what the doctor ordered sometimes.

Besides sewing a bunch we took a trip up to Mt Lemmon so Jack could get his first take on snow. Let's just say he was not a fan.

Other than that, I have no real news to report. Just the fact that we are leaving for Hawaii in 3 days and every time I think about it I get so excited I pee a little! Woot! Woot!

Fun stuff! I like the one where he's trying to get Daddy to pick him back up! I haven't let Lucy out in the snow yet, but she does like to watch it fall. Everything you made is so cute! I keep trying to get people to show me how to use my sewing machine, but no luck so far. So there it sits and is why Lucy and Nola will never have the cute stuff your baby will have. And I'll just have to whip out my boob with no cover! Only kidding, cute stuff just costs non-creative non-sewing skilled people like people more. And I love the tutus, they put mine to shame. I'm so embarrassed of Lucy's now. Thanks!

Hey, can you share the Hooter Hider pattern? I've seen them but heard how expensive they are. I would LOVE to make one for our next little guy. Have a great trip in Hawaii, we're jealous!

haha you are so funny, I too decided to rip off those "Hooter Hiders" to make gifts for all the people that have been having a baby. The first one I made for my cousin and thought it was so fun so I made more for kassie and my other sis in law, and now I am making one for Ash's little boy. But i think that is it for me, I am kind of tired of making them, I just feel like I am mass producing them now. and its lost its sparkle and uniqueness. Though I have promised them to a few of my other pregnant lady friends. Where did you find cute CHEAP fabric. I had to pay and arm and a leg for my fabric, because I can't stand the cheesy prints at most fabric stores. Each one was about 25 bucks.

:) I love your burp clothes, those are super cute too....And the TUTUS are seriously the cutest thing I have ever seen! I hope you plan on making a ton for yourself! seriously it makes me want a baby girl just looking at one! Good Job!

Great job on all your little projects... They are really cute! Sewing for girls is way funner than sewing for boys.

I love jack's beanie.

Kat, I would love the pattern for the hooter hiders too if you have one. I found a blog that had a tutorial for them but it would be easier if you had a pattern. I finally have a sewing machine so i might be asking for tips from you:) Hope hawaii is wonderful!!
