Let there be LIGHT!!!

Wednesday night around 8:30 we were watching the Olympics while a nasty storm was brewing outside. It exploded a few minutes later and then the lights went out. Our power was out the whole night, where my phone died, and then until Thursday around 7 pm. That was the longest, hottest most annoying 23 hours of my life! It is unreal how much I depend on electricity and so many other modern conveniences. This may sound super cheesy Mormon mom but it made me realize how bad I need to be prepared with food storage and a 72 hour kit and all that.

Moving on to the good stuff. Last weekend we went back to Cali and had a blast. Our family and the Badger family stayed with Jana and Lee Quigs in their beautiful home. We ate great food (if I don't say so myself ;)) and got super burned on the beach. In fact, my left shoulder got way more toasted than my right and so I find myself admiring its tan shimmer when I am all sweaty at the gym! I know I will probably get skin cancer relatively soon but I love being tan. Speaking of, anyone watching Project Runway?!

Last bit of bloggness for the day. I am coming to Utah soon. That's right folks! Little Jack and I will be there a week from this Monday and only for a few short days. If you want to see me and my little treasure send me an email and we'll plan a day to play. Also!!! If you love me a lot lot lot and want to offer me an air conditioned place to stay that would be soooo cool. See, my little sister Josie lives with like six other girls in a house with one bathroom and no a/c. As much fun as that sounds like I think I would probably rather die. Anyway, this request for an offer should only be taken seriously. None of that false offering and enthusiasm like, "Kat you can like, tooootally come and stay with us," and then when it comes down to it you are like, "freak this is going to be like, super awkward, what was I thinking?!

Ok ladies, see some of you very soon. Ba Bye...

They took 23 hours to turn the electricity back on? That sounds like some hilbilly junk! Oh and yes on the project runway. I am totally down with that show! The leather chic drives me crazy.

If you are here on a Thursday you should come to my dance class...

Also, if you wanted to we could try to get together with Ash, Jess, Janae, Sarah for like dinner one of the nights, if you want to...

Let me know what you think...

That happened to us last summer! It was absolutely awful! It's WAY to hot in Tucson and Vegas to not have a/c in the summer, I thought for sure we were going to die!
Congrats in baby #2! How far along are you?
