The Recipes

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip

1 1/2 sticks of butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 creamy peanut butter
2 egss
2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 package chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter sugar and brown sugar. Once smooth add peanut butter. Blend till a bit fluffy and add eggs and vanilla. Once all wet ingredients are well combined and smooth add dry ingredients. Chocolate chips are last. Make balls of dough and place on cookie sheet. Bake for 8-12 minutes depending on the size of the cookie and your oven. Just be careful with overbaking because the cookie dough is already a bit golden from the peanut butter. Another caution, these are so addicting that you may want to wait until you have about 10 people around to serve them to so you don't eat them all yourself. Unless you want a fat butt, then by all means eat up!

The Extra Steps Are Worth It Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 sticks butter
2 1/4 cups bread flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup white sugar
1 1/4 brown sugar
1 egg
1 egg yolk
2 TBS milk
1 1/2 tsps vanilla
2 cups chocolate chips

Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Sift together the bread flour, salt and baking soda and set aside. Pour the melted butter into the mixing bowl with the sugars and cream together. Add the egg, yolk, 2 TBS milk and vanilla extract until well combined. Slowly add the flour mixture a portion at a time. Stir in the chocolate chips and put the dough in the fridge for at least a half hour. Once chilled, pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees and grease a cookie sheet. Scoop dough into balls onto sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes depending on size of cookie and your oven. Seriously worth the extra melting and sifting and chilling. Good luck!

I'm SO glad you posted these, because everytime I want to make cookies, I want recipe #1, and I couldn't find it anywhere. Yes, they will give you a fat butt, especially if you're like me and have zero self control when these cookies are around. Now I'm going to have to try recipe #2 and see what else gets fat.
