Cool cool cool tricks!!! Yeah!!!
Here is Jack riding the skateboard all by himself! Every time he would ride down the sidewalk we would yell, "AWESOME!!!" Now he says it every time he rides too. It's the best. Tomorrow for his Birthday we are going to get him a bike along with a helmet. Somehow he has started doing things that require a helmet. I guess that is a clear indicator that he is in fact growing up into a little boy. Bye bye baby. So bitter sweet.
Here are some pictures of the baby and I. I know they aren't the best but I had my hair and makeup done on Sunday after church and Violet was in a cute little dress so I took advantage. Michael kept saying, "you look fine but the baby looks scared." It's funny because it's true. Whenever Michael asks how my day is going I always say, "if it's not one it's the other," in reference to the kids behavior that day. I guess that statement stands true in these pictures as well. If I look decent she looks scared and if she looked cute I looked awful. Being the selfish mom I am, I chose the ones where she looked scared. :)

Jack was totally digging on my chocolate chip cookies the other day. I love the photos Michael got of him. I can't believe how big he is getting. He turns 2 tomorrow! Yeesh!

A video and more
This video was taken just after Violet was born. I think she looks so sweet and alert. I had to share.
Now for another gaggle of photos. Sorry, I just think my kids are too stinkin' cute for words.
Best purchase ever! Complete and total entertainment for 2 days now.

I swear my daughter is not cross eyed! She just goes cross eyed when I set her up in that position. How cute is she though? I mean seriously, so cute!

Are you kidding me?
Jack went down for his nap at 1:00 and he just now fell asleep like 20 minutes ago (around 3:40). The funny thing is, if he wakes up even 10 minutes past 4 p.m. he is the grumpiest gus ever! So now I have to go in there and wake up my 2 year old who is finally sound asleep after almost 3 hours of singing and playing in his crib. What the what?! Of course this would happen. Of course it would. Now before you go thinking that I am a horrible mom for letting my kid kick it in his crib forever, just know that I am not willing to give up nap time yet. If we have to start calling it quiet time so it doesn't seem cruel then so be it but honestly this time during the afternoon is priceless. Anyway, I better go wake up my kids. One needs to eat before I burst and the other needs to wake up before he transforms into a real nightmare of a child. Yeesh.

Playing Dress Up
It was only a matter of time before I started dressing up my daughter in fun outfits and taking a myriad of pictures. Here are some of the first of what I'm sure will be many more. She sure is cute even though she HATES that headband. The bow was so big that she kept catching a glimpse of it in her peripheral vision and going cross eyed. Ha! So funny!

I can't leave out my little boy because lets face it, he is cute too. Like way cute right?! Anyway, I love his hair so much even when it is frizz upon frizz but I have finally committed to cutting it on his 2 year old Birthday. I will be so sad but I think it is time. Sigh... On another note, thank you so much Gramma for the cool Jack size rocking chair. He absolutely loves it. He pulls it right up in front of the TV and plops down so comfy like.

Yesterday I made an effort to do my hair and makeup instead of taking a nap so that I could have Michael take pictures of me and the baby. I honestly have no pictures of us since she was born! How awful. Anyway, I don't know why or how he manages to do it but I swear Michael makes me look 15 pounds fatter than I actually am every time he takes my freakin' picture! I know I am not a skinny thing just yet but I also know that I am not a heffer like I appear to be. Needless to say, here are a couple of shots he took. Even though you can barely see me, I still look horrible. Oh well, it is me and my baby and that is what is important right? Right.

I caught this moment between Michael and the baby. I thought it was precious even if my husband is a little scruffy. I think he is in love, what do you think?

Before we begin, yes, my husband is shirtless. Moving on!
I had the most awesome week with my mom here. We all cried when she left, it was pretty tragic actually. Driving away from the airport, the baby was screaming from hunger, Jack was in hysterics because Gramma just left and I was bawling right along with him. There was alot of snot and alot of tears but we recovered. I miss her like crazy.
Violet is now officially 2 weeks and 2 days old. She is thriving and of course is the most beautiful thing in the world. :) I am so enamored with everything about her, even when she makes those "ugliest/cutest" faces. She is sleeping fairly well. She wakes up around 12-1 am and then 4-5 am but that's basically it. I have gotten smart and have started going to bed between 9 and 10. Really what is there for me to be doing that is more important than sleeping?!
Jack is alright. He is a little bit temper tantrumish all the time. He gets jealous and closes off when the baby is around for the most part. On the other end of the spectrum he is alot more affectionate and snuggly when it's just us two. I love the kisses and the hugs and the constant attention I get from him when the baby is asleep.
Michael is fine. He is sleeping on the twin mattress we have shoved in the corner of our living room. That equals a full nights sleep for him, if he could ever turn off the computer and the tv!
I am doing really great actually. On Tuesday I went back to the gym for a Body Pump class and boy was it amazing! What is it about the gym that makes me feel alive? I am going to a Body Step class tonight and my only fear is that all that bouncing around will make my milk drop several times and I will be like a flowing well of milk. We'll see.
I guess that's everyone. I wish I had more exciting news or a funny story or something along those lines but I really don't. This is just one of those boring updates you know? Hopefully, some of you like it. :)
Last night after I finished rocking Jack I walked into the living room to find Violet dead asleep in Michael's armpit. So funny!

Somehow they all ended up shirtless at the same time and I couldn't resist.

The first real bath.

Here Jack is checking her out before he plants his first kiss.
